When are you launching?

Summer 2026 on iPhone. We're starting in the Mid-Atlantic (York, PA and nearby cities). Android and the rest of the country come next. Drop your email below and we'll ping you the day listings open in your area.

How does payment work?

When a buyer agrees to a price, their payment gets locked in by our payment company. It stays locked until you both confirm you met up and swapped the tires. If the tires aren't what was posted, the buyer can back out and the money goes back automatically. Sellers cash out to their bank or card once the swap is confirmed.

What's the difference between an instant offer and a listing?

Instant offer: for drivers who want cash today. Snap a few photos, take an offer from a nearby shop, meet up, get paid. A little less money, but zero waiting.

Listing: puts your tires on the marketplace at your own price. Buyers and shops make offers, you pick the one you like. Usually more money, takes a few days. Both options show side by side when you post, so you decide.

What about safety? Am I meeting strangers?

Most meetups happen at the buyer's tire shop, or a public spot you both pick together. Tire shops are the natural place because tires need to be put on the car anyway. You also see the other person's rating from past deals before you agree to meet, so you know who you're dealing with.

What's the shop score?

Every shop on TreadX has a score. It's the percent of accepted offers a shop actually pays out at, with no last minute cuts or excuses at the meet. You see the score before you agree to any offer. Shops with low scores don't get to make offers at all. It's the single best signal of who's worth dealing with.
